ABOUT US
The Statement of Faith of Devanahalli City Church sets forth the fundamental truths of the Christian faith as taught in the Holy Scriptures. These beliefs shape our identity, guide our ministry, and unite us as a church family.

THE BIBLE
We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and as the supremene authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

THE TRINITY
We believe that there is one true God who eternally exists in three Persons - the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. All are co-equal and co-eternal.

JESUS CHRIST
We believe in Jesus' virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death and bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

THE FALL OF MAN
We believe that man was created in God's image. By voluntary transgression, he fell and his only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

SALVATION
We believe that mankind's only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. This salvation comes by believing in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead and confessing with your mouth. Salvation is by faith in Jesus Christ through grace and not by human works.

ORDINANCES
We believe that Jesus Christ instituted two ordinances : Water Baptism and The Holy Communion

HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling and filling the Christian is enabled to live an empowered life of fruitfulness, obedience and holiness according to God's calling.

CHURCH
We believe that the church is the Body of Christ. The local church is an integral part of Christ's body. As each believer fulfils their calling within the local church and outside, by fulfilling the Great Commission of preaching the Gospel and making disciples of all nations.

THE BLESSED HOPE
We believe that the resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation together with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord is the imminent and blessed hope of the Church.

THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST
We believe the second coming of Christ includes the rapture of the saints, which is our blessed hope, followed by the visible return of Christ with His saints to reign on the earth for one thousand years.

THE FINAL JUDGEMENT
We believe that there will be a final judgement in which the wicked dead will be raised and judged according to their works. Whosever is not found written in the Book of Life, together with the devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophet, will be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.

THE NEW HEAVENS AND THE EARTH
We believe that we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, where in dwell with righteous.
